The firm has a proven ability to identify and deliver A-list leaders across a variety of industries and functions. My focus was on winning retained and executing search contracts to make board level, C-level and VP level placements. I mainly worked with private tech companies that would be growth stage or pre-IPO in nature. Most of my clients were in the wireless and communications sectors, funded by tier-one investors such as Sequoia Capital, NEA, Accel, Apax Partners, Francisco Partners, TCV, Benchmark, Greylock, KPCB and others. I joined Calibre One as the first hire and helped the company grow for seven years. The firm is now ranked as one of the top technology search boutiques in the US.

The firm has revenues in the UK exceeding $200M.I joined Norman Broadbent's technology practice in London and was responsible for bringing in new fully retained search deals and delivering on senior searches. New clients included US tech providers such as EMC and also large European systems integrators such as Siemens. I was responsible for feeding a team of consultants across Europe. In 1999 I was asked to move to the New York office where I won fully retained search business and delivered assignments for large US retailers that were developing their "NewCo" or dot.com divisions. My role was to find executives for their newly-minted dot.com business units. In 2000 I set up Norman Broadbent's San Francisco office with the aim of building a fully retained search business in the venture-backed early-stage technology community. The focus was on placing VPs and CEOs into companies that were post-B round and shipping product. When I started in San Francisco, the dot.com bubble had burst, but I was able to develop a profitable business by developing a revenue stream from European-originated clients as well as local sources. The US Norman Broadbent business was successfully spun out in 2002.
