About Michael C. Lee
I am a prepared learner! I am always ready to fill myself with knowledge and stories. I try my best to always stay open-minded and optimistic and strive to broaden my perspective. My organizational skill is my greatest strength. My experiences in diverse medical centers, teaching assistant and first-year fellow helped to build a strong foundation for my professional identity. I am studying biomedical engineering, and I am excited to learn all the fascinations the field has to offer. Its limitless possibilities and creative applications have sparked my passion. "Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time, we fall." - Confucius This is a quote I abide by. I am working on my communication skills, especially to be more concise and straightforward. However, as always, learning something new is not easy. I try my best even if I reach an impasse, which has been my greatest asset. Whether it be through critical thinking, seeking for advice or even taking a step back to analyze the bigger picture, I despise giving up. Mistakes and failures are inevitable, but they have been invaluable learning experiences. Integrity, risk-taking, and optimism are three pillars I revolve around to accomplish this. One thing I always keep in mind is to make a failure a learning experience and think positively. By doing so, I was able to reflect on things I could have done better so that I am always ready for the next opportunity. I am currently a research associate at Regeneron studying osteoarthritis. I am looking forward to connect to expand my point of view and share knowledge and stories! I aspire to use medicine to treat patients regardless of their background.
