701St Military Police Battalion, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri
As the Command Sergeant Major for the 701st MP Battalion, I served as the principal advisor to the Battalion Commander pertaining to enlisted assignments, utilization, promotions, evaluations, incentives, standards of discipline and counseling. I was responsible for the health, welfare, training and evaluation of over 1,500 personnel, consisting of six subordinate companies. I oversaw the development and training plans for new MP recruits to the Army and ensured they were capable and well trained on Law Enforcement Operations, Convoy Security, Entry Control Points and U.S. Customs Operations, including personnel, baggage, cargo and vehicle inspections. I also managed the human resource department, ensuring the right experience and skills were matched to positions and levels of responsibility.Major accomplishments in this role include:* Led the first Army American Correctional Association Accreditation for the MP Correction School. Received recognition for being one of only three Institutions to ever received a 100% on all standards* Improved the quality of the 7 week Correction School by redesigning instructor responsibilities to cover gaps* Oversaw the training and job certification for more than 13,200 new recruits and 6,400 newly commissioned officers* Coordinated the implementation of a highly successful sexual assault and sexual harassment prevention campaign and training program for 1,871 personnel that created a climate of trust* Placed a strong emphasis on safety at the Military Working Dog School that led to zero injuries while training more than 360 dogs and 828 personnel
