After a successful career in the tech industry, I joined Merrill in 2004. Since then, I've been fortunate to assist clients whose ambitions match my own – to serve the best interests of our families, enterprises and communities. MY CLIENTS COME FROM NEAR AND FAR – AND ALL WALKS OF LIFE. Many are accomplished "wealth accumulators" in the Bay Area. Others are successful business owners, physicians, landowners and tradespeople in Central California. I also serve a largely referred clientele in more than 20 other states. Regardless of their level of wealth or financial sophistication, each client benefits from my financial skills, commitment and especially, my open heart and mind. Whether a client has built – or is building – their nest egg, I find they're typically quite busy with "people and passions." I often say, "Your job is to create wealth – my job is to help manage it." Having helped clients manage money and emotion amid the volatility of 2008, 2020 and 2022, virtually all of whom remain with me today. I believe that's due to my perspective on mitigating investment risk and ability – as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® CFP® certificant – to provide a planning-based approach. WHAT DO I FIND MOST FULFILLING? ª Helping clients prepare financially and emotionally for a rewarding retirement or whatever comes next. I enjoy making a lasting impact on the wealth and happiness of families. ª Meeting with couples, hearing their stories and sharing mine. I've helped them send kids to college, purchase homes, and make smart financial decisions. There's no substitute for handshakes and hugs. • Receiving referrals to clients' friends, families and colleagues – those with straightforward financial needs and those whose complex financial circumstances demand more nuanced strategies. • I am a current member of Rotary Club de Tolosa in San Luis Obispo. Years ago, my family and I were touched by cancer. In 2018, I helped raise $39,000 as founder and local leader for Alex's Lemonade Stand, a nationwide organization. In 2023, I organized a pickleball tournament which raised another $14,000 for Alex's Lemonade Stand. And in 2024, our charity pickleball event raised over $80,000! Since 2019, I've been an active board member of Little Wishes, which grants immediate and ongoing wishes of hospitalized children.
