Employee Relations Manager
Current• Leads the development of organizational workforce compliance goals, objectives and systems, which establish metrics that support the company’s strategic goals, including diversity and inclusion.• Responds and/or coordinates responses to legal claims, grievances filed by collectively bargained employees, EEO charges, NLRB complaints and any other labor and employment law related claims• Establishes standards and procedures to identify opportunities to integrate best practices and policies throughout organization.• Updates and maintains the company handbook and various workforce policies• Drives best practices and legal compliance by staying informed on new policies, legislation, programs, and practices that will impact the team and organization.• Manages various projects by ensuring the development of project plans with specific key deliverables and timelines.• Manages legal risk by reviewing and approving disciplinary actions and terminations for U.S. locations, results of background checks, ADA accommodation requests, and requests for layoffs/RIF• Oversees and implements training for supervisors/managers to mitigate litigation risks and promote a positive culture. • Provides regular training to all of HR in the US to communicate changes to company policies, procedures, programs, and laws.• Facilitates global training on conducting internal investigations.• Manages and participates in projects and special assignments under the direction of the General Counsel and Senior Counsel.• Coordinates employee resource groups to align with company goals on diversity and inclusion.• Conducts and reviews investigations received through the company hotline.
