Michael has over 15 years of experience working in and leading actuarial and data teams across the Australian life insurance and reinsurance sectors. He has extensive experience working with data from many different insurance and reinsurance databases and systems. Having held multiple business lead roles for system & data management and transformation projects, and a background in both Actuarial Studies and Computing, Michael is well versed in business and IT languages to bridge any required understanding between the strategic, technical and operational work streams.Michael has led multiple projects involving large project teams including: system and product integration projects related to M&A of Life Insurance companies, development & operationalising of new data management systems for APAC regional deployment for a global group, policyholder and insurer / reinsurer remediation projects, and process improvement & optimisation projects.In addition to the project leadership roles, Michael was leader for the Data Solutions and Data Actuarial teams at Munich Reinsurance Australasia. Through this tenure, Michael worked through a broad range of data problems and developed extensive expertise in dealing with and solving data problems within the industry.With his proficiency in problem solving, quality testing and controls, management reporting and portfolio monitoring as well as remediation of historic data issues, Michael is passionate about improving data in the Australian life insurance industry.
