Responsibilities and Accomplishments include:  Successfully managed a Continuous Improvement Turn-Around of the San Diego site, meeting or exceeding financial metrics Successfully executed multiple site consolidation effectively reducing BU O/H  Designed organization and staffed a world class leadership team. Introduced Strategy/Policy Deployment (Hoshin) to drive Cobham aligned Strategic Goals & framework throughout the organization to achieve operational excellence and enable the required business transformation to meet financial, SGP, and customer expectations. Developed an effective Communication Plan to drive the business cadence and assure constant and consistent attention to strategic goals, risks/constraints, and opps. Successfully shifted business culture to lean enabling continuous improvement and consistent increase in production program profits – Value Stream Mapping & standard time development, VS Visual boards, metric displays, takt clocks, TPM, 6S, Process Improvement Teams, TIP’s, and developing LSW. Successfully developed LeanDNA management system, aligned with Cobham EID, and deployed throughout facility to deploy and management cascaded goals (Hoshin), live value stream Revenue & KPI tracking, live accountability, and real time SPC. Developed a company DIVE Culture using RCCA and Lessons Learned – significant reduction in waste/scrap. Successfully rebuilt the Program Management Office – all programs trending up on profit. Developed and managed Strategic Growth Plan for Business

Joined Coast Composites as a member of the Executive Management Team, reporting directly to CEO, to expand composite tooling capability. Through the application of extensive composite structure Program & Operations experience have grown capability to support the execution of large, multi-company composite tooling contract. Applied strong technical background to provide disciplined operational controls, procedures and systems, and directed lean initiatives to effectively manage rapid growth of business, ensure financial strength and operating efficiency, and ensure successful delivery to customers.  Planned program and executed to assure program schedule and financial success. Successfully supported startup of two composite facilities, and all equipment required, including Autoclave, OLT equipment, Ovens, Ply Cutters, and Clean Room set up. Managed the staffing of over 70 employees to support composite operations. Developed multi-facility (5 locations) SharePoint status system to cross manage current and future contracts. Oversaw the development, and floor execution, of lean strategies tied to learning curve goals to assure program financial goals (lean events, FMEA).

Responsible for applying past Aerospace Executive Experience toward the end of developing and growing businesses and operations. Positions include the following. Vice President Business Development & Engineering – Matrix Composites ($8M) 2009 - 2010  Developed and implemented a multi-year Business Development Strategy to transition business from limited customer production portfolio to a much more diverse composite business base. Established a marketing/business development pipeline system tied to sales/profit/resource forecasting. Implemented Project Management systems to assure that projects were managed to profitability Composite Tooling Launch – Coast Composites 2009 - 2010  Played key role and pursuit and win of large composite tooling contract. Managed the development and implementation of composite infrastructure to execute composite tooling work. Staffed operation and developed successful team. Successfully completed several large Boeing contracts supporting 787 Large Area Repairs. Leveraged successful contracts to win $70M Boeing 787 Composite Barrel Tooling Contract.

Overall management of manufacturing operations at multiple DRT facilities; Responsible for allocation of TI and capital asset budges among facilities, facility layout, project/contract lean cell layout, process technology location and development. Developed and managed fiscal year capital asset budgets for respective facilities Oversaw the layout and installation of $3M+ of composite aerospace production capital asset Oversaw the layout of multiple lean cell production cellsPosition assured that company manufacturing resources were in alignment to best assure corporate financial goals, customer requirements, and stake holder interest.
