Meet the Business OwnerMichael LoweI began working as an assistant landscaper in early 2004 for a company called Terra Firma based in Langley-Upon-Tyne, Northumberland, owned and run by Rosie Hudson.Later that same year I set myself up as a sole trader and began trading under the name of Michael Lowe Gardening Services.One of the most valuable lessons I learnt from Rosie was that earning your client's trust was paramount to a fruitful and successful relationship with them and then constantly communicating that level of trust throughout so as to maintain a healthy rapport with clients and to go above and beyond high standards and quality of work vs. good value as some of the qualities to always strive for in my business and particularly for my clients, after all it is they who are investing in my time and my expertise; it would be pure madness to sell them short of all that I have to offer!'Word of Mouth' is still to this day one of the fundamental channels for securing work with prospective clients and being honest at all times has paved the way and laid down excellent foundations for many long lasting good relaitonships with regular clients. Clear and concise Communication every step of the way throughout the design process from initial telephone call or email to completed project and thereafter with the maintenance schedule should they require one, is of utmost importance.I see myself as a very approachable, highly professional individual and believe in providing my clients with quality, not quantity.I enjoy and look forward to exciting new challenges and absolutely thrive in environments where I get to be myself and throw all my creative energies into a project! Over the last 18 months, (alongside my usual practice and implementation of Garden Design and Landscaping) I have purposefully implemented permaculture and regenerative practices as integral to the design process and not just within my business ethos. I openly explain this to my clients so that they understand from the outset that I am not your usual garden designer landscaper. When you let people know exactly what you are about they know straight away what they can expect which is crucial to laying the first foundational trust stones to a long lasting and ethical relationship.
