Provided accurate and informed intelligence briefings to Shadow Minister supported by building relationships with corporate retail and regional businesses, ‘green’ groups such as Friends of the Earth and political organisations such as ‘think tanks’ as well as main television and newspaper media channels and electorate. Selected projects and achievements are listed below: Gathered intelligence from key stakeholders and wrote all speech notes for Marine and Coastal Access Bill, shaped new direction for number of Quangos in accordance with Ministerial views as well as persuaded DEFRA/DECC related groups to shape future policy that had potential viability within new government framework. Built database for media contacts nationwide that enabled rapid and accurate dissemination of information. Successfully incorporated amendments into Parliamentary Bills by building rapport with and influencing Government Ministers, Parliamentary sub-committees and Government backbenchers.
