A higher education professional with nearly a decade of experience in his field, Michael Lydiate concurrently holds positions at two Columbus, Georgia, institutions. Since 2004, Mr. Lydiate has served as an Adjunct Professor at Troy University. In 2010, he found additional employment as an advisor and professor with the University of Phoenix (UOP). Michael Lydiate’s present advisory responsibilities at UOP include enrolling prospective students and structuring their studies, as well as ensuring that each individual is adequately prepared to begin his or her college career.Michael Lydiate prepared for his teaching career with eight years of concentrated study at the undergraduate and graduate levels. In 1995, he graduated from Columbus, Georgia’s Columbus State University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Health Physical Education. After obtaining his Master of Education from Troy University, Mr. Lydiate briefly left the Columbus region to pursue his Doctor of Education at Argosy University in Sarasota, Florida.In his free time, Michael Lydiate actively helps support several local charities, including Toys for Tots and the Valley Rescue Mission, a Christian organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for Columbus residents who lack homes or money or who struggle with substance abuse. Mr. Lydiate is also passionate about music and plays the guitar with some skill. A sports enthusiast, he plays soccer and golf and enjoys staying physically fit.
