Demonstrated track record in the U.S., Europe, Asia, and Middle East executing multi-national direct private equity and capital markets strategies, joint ventures and acquisitions, building operating platforms, managing legal and compliance, and leading turn-around and growth strategies. Significant experience investing in, and working with, evolving and growth-oriented companies, particularly in financial services, healthcare, and agribusiness, in the U.S. and internationally to help drive global growth.Significant experience advising some of the world’s leading large and middle-market institutions, funds, and companies such as GMAC, Cargill, Mayo Clinic, Wells Fargo, and HSBC in domestic and cross-border capital markets transactions and in connection with multi-billion dollar financial, corporate finance, and highly structured transactions, projects and programs, including as internal general counsel for the global treasury group of a $120 billion financial institution affiliate of a Fortune 10 company with operations across three continents.During the financial crisis and its aftermath, Mr. Macaluso worked on government bailouts and private restructurings in the U.S. and Europe. He led teams assisting banks, governments, issuers, and funds in maintaining, obtaining, or restructuring $150 billion of liquidity.He taught international capital markets as an adjunct professor of law at the University of Minnesota Law School for over a decade.
