Advancements in AI will further accelerate the pace and impact of digital transformation.Human capabilities such as reading, learning, creativity and communication have now become digital capabilities, and AI agents can now work side by side with human employees. As a result, existing digital capabilities such as process management and reporting will be complimented by a new wave of AI Capabilities, and cause an abundance of technology based opportunities for greater efficiency as well as the creation of brand new business models. To successfully surf the oncoming waves, all organizations will need to master the art of synergizing their digital and business capabilities, to shape and drive what they do and how well they do it.Throughout my career I have focused on helping businesses select, design and scale the digital capabilities that they need to be successful, as well as to drive those digital investments all the way to business outcomes. This journey 30 started years ago when I realized that I could use excel to automate the planning functions within my first role, and has evolved to a career focused on enterprise scale digital transformation.I have just completed a long and successful partnership with Flex, and am now starting a new phase of that journey.I am active on Linkedin so am easy to contact on this platform in case you want to get in touch.

Head Of Enterprise ArchitectureFlex Jan 2023 - Jun 2024Austin, Texas, UsAs an Enterprise, Flex acts as a manufacturing and supply chain arm of the technology sector. It empowers global brands by providing them access to a global network of over 100 factories that are capable designing, making, repairing and distributing a broad array of different electronic components and products. This enables technology focused companies to operate a "supply chain as a service" approach by allowing Flex to build, ship and service products on their behalf instead trying to do it by themselves. As the head of Enterprise Architecture, I had a key leadership role in shaping, steering and communicating the strategy for the end to end business system and overall digital ecosystem at Flex.My motto while performing this role was always "thought leadership with impact" as it was a dual role that involved both shaping the strategy as well as helping to drive the changes needed to enable its realization. In this role I led a small but highly skilled group of architects - as well as acted myself as a strategist, architect and change leader. -
Technology Strategy & Digital Transformation Lead (Cto Group)Flex Aug 2018 - Dec 2023Austin, Texas, UsEach role I played in Flex was a brand new role that represented the beginning of something new in the company at that time. In the first phase of my career I evolved into a very good business system architect and change leader and transitioning to being one of the founding members of a central technology function at Flex.During this time I both led and was a key player in a high performance team that that focused on uplifting and implementing our technology strategy to incorporate technology transformations such as Cloud, DevOps, Data & Intelligence, Industry 4.0.While I would not consider myself a native technologist - I have a relationship with technology that is similar to how a historian would relate to history. I don't have any hands-on experience but I have a good overall perspective on it - especially in relation to how new technology can be shaped to transform businesses. -
Senior Director - Enterprise Solutions ArchitectureFlex Apr 2013 - Jul 2018Austin, Texas, UsIn this role I both led and participated in of global team of architects that were responsible for supporting our business and IT teams to onboard and scale new customers and business models, as well as to design and implement solutions to address global business challenges. The large international scale, and ever changing industrial footprint of Flex is a great learning ground and working across this challenging environment I graduated from an ERP leader to a Business System and Enterprise Architecture Leader. -
Customer Solutions ArchitectFlex Jan 2012 - Mar 2013Austin, Texas, UsElectronics Manufacturing and Supply Chain Service Providers such as Flex experience constantly changing requirements from their customers. During this time I worked at Flex to design and deploy business system architectures to meet those ever evolving demands as well as to plan and steer our digital roadmaps to support future business development trends. This was a brand new role in the company at that time and was an optimal leaning ground for understanding how digital capabilities enable and can even transform business capabilities. I played this role as individual knowledge leader - but was a very active community builder and knowledge integrator and eventually went to lead this seed function into a global function. -
Director Of Erp Solution ManagementFlex Mar 2008 - Dec 2011Austin, Texas, UsThis was the first role in my career in which played both an organizational leader and knowledge leader, as I was both the manager of as well as a key player within a high performance team. The mission of this team was to design and build a global ERP system for a company that at peak has a workforce of 250,000 people world wide, and covered a wide variety of industry and product types.During the time I led the function we combined teams from India, Austria and Mexico into a global team with a culture of collaboration , knowledge sharing and a commitment to excellence that is still place today. -
Erp Solution ManagerFlex Jan 2005 - Feb 2008Austin, Texas, UsIn my first role at Flex, I worked with a team of ERP Solution Managers to establish the solutions that supported global business functions such planning, procurement, warehousing, shipping and finance. Many of the solutions and processes that we designed together are still running as a foundational layer within the companies overall operating system, and many of the capabilities we created are being moved forward to new generation of the ERP platform. -
Enterprise Resources Planning (Erp) ConsultantIndependent Consultant Jan 2000 - Dec 2004London, GbAs an ERP consultant I worked with different companies to implement and optimize ERP systems. The primary ERP I worked with was Baan - however, at some point in my career I have retired and replaced almost every ERP ever created so I am familiar with them all.In this role I thrived on being connector and integrator between IT teams and business teams and significantly developed my communication and leadership skills. It was through this role that I first came in touch with Flex and decided I would prefer to be part of something bigger - rather than continue as a consultant. -
Supply Chain & Materials PlannerSaronix Jun 1995 - Dec 1999In my first role I scheduled the supply and delivery of materials to a production line making crystal oscillators on a batch production line in Palo, Alto California. The role was a good introduction into supply chain mechanics but also an opportunity to understand how software systems could be used to automate and improve business processes. As an outcome of my growth in this role I was selected to represent the supply chain function in an international company wide ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system roll out project - which became the foundational experience for my next role as an ERP Consultant.
