I have worked in construction and digital manufacturing, my focus is on utilizing technology and advanced building methodologies to optimize the construction process and reduce cost and coordination times through automated practices. Early in my career, I recognized building practices as archaic, ineffective and structured in a way that is not client and budget focused. I saw inefficiencies that could easily be eliminated with digital communication and data sharing and recognized the need for reform. I also witnessed how practice and construction knowledge early on in the building process can reduce cost and time.With these insights, I went to pursue a career in technology-based operations that optimize the construction process from an early stage. Treating value-engineering as inherent to construction rather than as a reaction to budget over-runs and combining this mentality at a high level with technology-based coordination is how we can truly reform the business of construction.
