Create and execute the enterprise interoperability strategy for UC Davis Health while leading a technical team of 25+ staff and contractors and managing the integration deliverables for all system integration projects for the UC Davis Health Systems. Our team support both clinical and business systems interfaces as well as provides 24x7x365 operational support for existing production interfaces. My role requires that I manage the ongoing implementation and operational activities on InterSystems HealthShare platform as well as Epic's InterConnect and Bridges modules. UCDH has than 400 individual integration's internally and more than 100 with our community connect partner. UCDH is constantly working to extend Health Information Exchange in the community with our current partnerships with Epic CareEverywhere / CareElsewhere, The Sequoia Group (eHealth Exchange and CareEquality), PULSE EMS and SureScripts allows our providers to exchange clinical data with more than 1000 entities nationwide.

Health Data Interoperability expert providing guidance related to blockchain development and implementation that intersects with traditional data exchange methods, models and standards currently in use in healthcare.

Lead ACS HIE effort in CA in concert with the MMIS conversion from HP/ EDS. Responsible for delivering portal technology that will allow providers and hospitals to register, attest, submit appropriate data and request payment for the Medi-Cal (Medicaid) EHR Provider Incentive Program based on the deployment of certified EMR technology and meeting the defined eligibility and meaningful use provisions required. Significant stakeholder interaction to ensure the program and providers were on the same page. Worked directly with Regional and Local Extension Center staff to assist providers with the registration process and to resolve registration issues. Prior to my departure, the system had supported more than 10,000 individual provider registrations and paid more the 500 million in incentive funds to qualified entities in California.

Directed the start-up of an ASP deployment of hosted Ambulatory Practice Management and Electronic Medical Record software from GE Healthcare for Sutter Independent Physicians. As the start-up Director, was responsible for all hiring, budget, sales and support processes created for the initiative. Lead all sales efforts including in office demonstrations from initial contact to contract. Responsible for configuration of Centricity Business and initial build of Centricity EMR including technical, network and application build, testing, deployment and full product report responsibilities. Full P&L responsibilities for this new line of business for the company.

Managed staff of 36 Implementation and Operations staff supporting more the 2000 interfaces supporting 26 Hospitals and 7 medical foundations. Led engine replacement project that required the conversion of those 2000+ interfaces from CAI/NEON to SeeBeyond EGate technology. Led vendor selection as well as 3rd party contracting for resources necessary to complete the conversion.
