Fred Victor is a social service charitable organization that fosters long-lasting and positive change in the lives of homeless and low-income people living across Toronto. This is achieved through programs and services at locations across Toronto, providing affordable housing, emergency shelter, food access, mental health and other health supports, job training and counselling, and specialized support programs. The merger of Allianz Global Assistance Canada and TIC Travel Insurance Coordinators has created one of the largest travel insurance providers in the country, operating as Allianz Global Assistance. The combined entity will leverage the strengths of the two organizations to offer industry-leading products and services for Canadian travelers and visitors to Canada. Formerly Director of Finance reporting to the CEO at TIC Travel Insurance until December 31, 2014 when the merger was complete (see below) .Led all financial functions including Actuarial and Corporate Services • Led “One Company” initiative to merge operations & cultures – restructured Finance to meet needs of joint venture• Manage Board of Directors meetings including presentation of results & plans to both shareholders• Expanded real estate capacity to accommodate 80% increase in staff and operations• Reduced reporting cycle from 6 days to 4 days with decision information to management • Implemented business intelligence to create one database improving decision making – one version of the truth
