Founded in January 2010, I AM HUNGRY was a smartphone location-based application that provided discounts to over 100 Boston-area restaurants. For $500 per year, restaurants could reach customers at the perfect time -- when they were hungry and looking for a place to eat. The I AM HUNGRY team consisted of 7 full-time employees and 18 part-time salesmen. With a successful launch to Boston's college market in September 2010, I AM HUNGRY's following grew to over 45,000 on Facebook, had a 5-star rating on Apple's App Store, and was featured several times in the Boston Globe.

Zaang.com was an angel-backed social networking startup started from a dorm room at Babson College in September 2008. It started as a question and answer site targeting college students at eleven Boston-area campuses. After securing a $350,000 round of seed capital in 2009, Zaang was expanded into a social network where all forms of media were curated and sorted into specific 'worlds' by it's users. We opened an office in Cambridge, MA -- working and sleeping on a couch in the office!Like-minded people from all over the world connected on Zaang, though like many social networks, Zaang was unable to generate positive cash flow from its user base. Zaang was named one of the top 100 student businesses in 2009 by the Kairos Society, and was featured in publications such as The Next Web, Examiner.com and Under30CEO.
