As a nation, we don't seem to be getting along very well. Politically, we are polarized. Socially, we are divided against each other. Interpersonally, we seek connection and meaning. Creating Common Ground is a nonprofit that helps people bridge divides on contentious social and political issues. Our goal is to bring people together to solve problems collaboratively. We do this by providing free online training in everyday conflict resolution, workshops on interpersonal and political conflict resolution, and a Magazine devoted to proposing novel solutions to seemingly intractable social and political problems.

The Compass Program at Merrimack College is a year-long academic and socio-emotional immersion program for underprepared college students. The program focuses on long-term self-cultivation through mastery learning. With high standards and deep support, we transforms the selves and lives of underperforming college students.
