Hi, thank you for visiting my profile, my name is Michael O’Connell. I am a persistent, problem solving full-stack developer who approaches issues with a balance between rationality and intuition. When I wake up in the morning, I begin thinking about the code I will be working on that day. I want to earn my place through hard work and dedication. I also want to be known as the person that asks questions rather than remains silent and also as someone who co-workers feel is approachable and always willing to answer questions.I have always loved the iterative process of solving a problem. Transitioning from a philosophy major to programmer I have realized that both deal with problem solving. Whereas philosophy rarely has a definitive answer programming does, though the answer may vary depending on the situation.When I’m not working, I love reading science fiction/fantasy as well as non-fiction books about psychology, philosophy and science in general. A corollary of my interests in psychology, philosophy and programming is an interest in machine learning which I hope to one day get into. I also enjoy spending time in nature to relax and refocus.
