Project EngineerCima+ Jul 2020 - PresentAs a Project Engineer in the Infrastructure Division, I coordinate multidiscipline projects from the proposal stage, through to preliminary and detailed detailed design, contract document creation, tendering, contract administration, and construction supervision. In addition to my project work, I am also a fluid mechanics specialist focusing on water modelling, hydraulic transient analysis, and CFD. I design pumping systems, and building mechanical systems. -
Project EngineerAssociated Engineering Sep 2016 - Jul 2020I was part of the Water Group at AE, with a specialization in fluid mechanics. As a fluid mechanics specialist, I developed skills in analyzing pipe flow and pumping systems, and modelling flows with CFD and hydraulic transients software. I work as an expert in pump station design and assessment, with extensive knowledge of variable speed and constant speed pump selection. I gained experience in modelling mixing for reservoirs and chemical injection, pump intakes, water treatment filters, and screening. I took the models from geometry creation, selecting boundary conditions and scope, to meshing, and solving in ANSYS Fluent. My work has been used by decision makers to guide design and determine design compliance with regulatory bodies. I also performed Hydraulic Transient Analysis of water distribution systems and pipelines, using Bentley Hammer and WaterCAD. Finally I developed my skills in HVAC/building mechanical design. -
Systems Engineer-In-TrainingSed Systems May 2015 - Aug 2016Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, CanadaAs a Systems EIT I was responsible for performing system integration and testing of satellite ground stations. This included travel to sites throughout Canada and the United States. I greatly improved the rate at which factory and site acceptance testing could be completed by automating testing procedures using Python scripts that I developed. I was also responsible for some HVAC design.

Radiation Detector R&DEnviromental Instruments Canada Dec 2012 - May 2013Saskatoon, SaskatchewanThis was a part-time position I held while finishing my last semester of a Bachelor of Science in Engineering. EIC is a small company with less than 10 employees. I was hired to develop firmware for a new product they were launching, the DRD, a personal radiation dosimeter for use in uranium mining. The firmware I wrote measured the signals from an integrated Geiger tube to calculate the instantaneous and accumulated radiation dose received by the user. Dosages over time were recorded on the device and could be uploaded via bluetooth to a computer basestation that could save the records to the cloud. I helped take the device from idea to production in a little over four months.

Summer InternCnh Industrial May 2012 - Aug 2012Saskatchewan, CanadaI developed a combination muffler and diffuser that would attenuate the noise from a planter vacuum fan and slow the fan exhaust reducing its environmental effects. I was granted a patent for this design, and invited by CNH Industrial to continue the research and design through a Master's of Science Program. -
Research AssistantUniversity Of Saskatchewan Dep. Of Chemical And Biological Engineering Jan 2011 - Jun 2012Saskatchewan, CanadaI developed a computer program, using IDL code, to extract data from hyperspectral images and process it for use in BRDF research. I used the processed data to attempt to measure the angle of a surface based on its reflectance. The results from this research was presented at the 33rd Canadian Symposium on Remote Sensing both as an oral presentation and a conference paper.

Service Technician Assistant (Information Technology)Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools (Gscs) Jun 2009 - Aug 2010I provided IT support to the staff of the GSCS. This included troubleshooting and computer lab setup.
