Michael has some 35 years of experience in the mining and resources industry, predominantly in environmental management, remediation, restoration, rehabilitation, asset transition, asset transformation and closure studies and projects associated with the full asset life cycle. Michael has developed a solid and broad technical understanding as a result of on-ground experience in all Australian jurisdictions and overseas across numerous resource commodities including iron ore, coal, base and precious metals, mineral sands and uranium through all aspects from exploration through to and beyond closure. Most recently Michael led some 40 closure dedicated practitioners across the APAC region. In previous roles he has worked for consulting, industry and government which has resulted in an in-depth understanding of industry policies, procedures, legislation and regulation in achieving practical and successful outcomes.
