Michael is CEO at Enterprise Northern Ireland - the representative organisation for the region’s 27 Local Enterprise Agencies.Previously he was Director of the Business Institute and the Centre for SME Development at Ulster University and was appointed as a Visiting Professor to the Ulster University Business School in 2010. Prior to that, he was Managing Director of McQuillan Associates - a business growth consultancy supporting the SME sector in Northern Ireland.Michael has been involved in establishing and growing several businesses, throughout his career, notably, as co-founder and CEO of The Streat Café Chain and The Streat Franchising Ltd., establishing and growing the business to more than 50 outlets throughout Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and Scotland.He has been engaged as a Non-Executive Director with several SME’s. Michael served as board member to Tourism NI from 2013-20. He is presently a board member of Invest NI and a member of the Governing Board of South Eastern Regional College.
