- One of the significant contributions made for the L3Harris project was my addition of critical functionality to the in-house developed PowerShell scripting files allowing backward compatibility with systems not set up with the Common Infrastructure Model calls (CIM) instances. I added code to the script calling Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) using the Get-WmiObject cmd-let since this has been a standard infrastructure model in Microsoft Operating Systems for the past 23 years. This addition facilitated in gathering thousands of more computer systems data sets needed to be parsed for the relevance of this project; Server operating systems versions queried included outdated 2003 and 2008 along with 2012, 2016, and 2019 systems.- Create, and Utilize extensive PowerShell scripting to scan file shares at remote site locations, and remediate where able.- When Non-US Persons need access a separate share is created from scratch with a new VM (VMware) hosting the necessary files in the new file share on the local sites’ vSphere. - Access remote systems with file shares using RDP and vSphere, and assist in determining critical running applications utilizing service accounts necessary for production work.- Check file share permissions, and compare to NTFS to see if service or shared accounts need access to it- Build documentation outlining details of data gathered and modified such as lists of computers with file shares, lists of service and shared accounts, lists of persons or accounts identified as foreign persons, and place in Excel workbooks for each site updating where necessary.- Collaborate with site POCs to identify user, service, and shared accounts not correctly set to US in custom Active Directory attributes meant to identify citizenship status.- Worked with CyberArk to determine what CyberArk safes accounts were held in when remediating misconfigurations due to duplicate accounts in CyberArk, or potential non-US persons having access to the safe.
