Contributed to the Investments Data Platform team within Technology & Business ChangeTo fulfil their responsibility with meeting the demands of relevant stakeholders. In this role I:1) Developed a data lineage UI tool to track data products’ lineage and status, making it easier for users to understand infrastructure, identify errors, and analyse impacts. Multiple layers of constituent & dependant data products visualised through a dynamic tree view:- C# coding language alongside Radzen Blazor web framework used to build UI solution.- Tree view visual connected to a SQL table via API endpoints, enabling fast, dynamic expansion/contraction of tree view when clicked.- Additional features developed to smooth user experience, such as: Autocomplete text box, custom context menu, historical production times of data products and a user guide help button.- SQL table creation enhanced upon to add additional useful fields.- SDLC & agile kanban work methodology used to manage project. Demonstrations of the tool were carried out regularly to collate and act upon end user inputs, as well as distribute the tool to other teams. 2) Contributed to broader commitments in the wider IDP platform, particularly relating to the release of a new nature & biodiversity fund:- Adding/changing data when requested by external clients through Python Databricks notebook amendments.- Adding green identifying fields to existing data products.- Creating appropriate test environments, including test data and type-safe config validation to ensure data quality.

Contributed to the Cloud Engineering team within Enterprise Technology to fulfil their responsibility with meeting the demands of M&G's technology department. In this role I:1) Developed a software tool called PRAI (Pull Request Artificial Intelligence), which integrated generative AI in Azure DevOps PRs to assist developers and PR reviewers, improving efficiency and automation: - API calls utilised to send edited code to OpenAI, along with a sophisticated system prompt, to receive feedback on code quality, syntax and security. Feedback was then written as a PR comment to the DevOps UI in addition to an AI generated PR description.- Powershell coding language used, integrating complex loops to dissect larger PRs into appropriately sized chunks to send to OpenAI. Software development ability greatly improved.- YAML pipeline and build policies created to automate the activation of PRAI on every PR made within six DevOps projects.2) Provided a Business Intelligence report using data engineering to evaluate costs and utilisation of Databricks compute clusters:- Databricks Overwatch software tool and workflows utilised to automatically generate costing data for thirteen Databricks instances.- Yaml pipeline created to generate Azure infrastructure necessary for Overwatch, such as storage accounts, key vaults, event hubs and SQL servers, whilst ensuring repeatability and scalability for future expansion.- Power BI dashboard produced, displaying costing data in a clear and aesthetically pleasing way.3) Assisted in modernising and securing the core infrastructure tech stack by migrating key network components from ARM to terraform. New Terraform template created, updating and applying the state file which successfully mirrored the older ARM template.

Contributed to the maintenance, improvement, and commissioning work of a primary pharmaceutical manufacturing site through a wide variety of technical tasks, whilst adhering to GSK and Global Engineering Standards throughout. In this role I:- Conjured and carried out Plant Modifications, explaining justifications, step by step install processes and safety precautions for a wide variety of fixed electrical changes needed on site. Business endorsements, handovers and safety approval meetings were also completed.- Commissioned motors for two large scale active pharmaceutical ingredient manufacture processes, which included storing, amending, and uploading motor settings using Schneider’s SoMove software.- Embarked on a Power BI project with informatics experts, automating the retrieval, manipulation and visualisation of data representing processing times of virtual bots completing SAP tasks.- Successfully led a project for installing a suitable backup power supply to stability chambers storing API samples used by the quality department.- Organised and delivered test sheets, electrical drawings and Terrington data storage software for motor control center maintenance and hazardous area inspections.

Contributed to the Cloud integration initiative, aimed at improving data security and implementing innovations more efficiently.Software application was built, which automatically detected any new or changed README.mc file(s) in Azure DevOps repositories, and upload it to the documentation UI Confluence, resulting in the streamlining and standardising of information being shared. In this role I:- Utilised the Software Development Life Cycle and Agile Kanban work management system, to structure the project and track progress.- Developed the Software application through PowerShell. Experienced also gained in MS Code, MS Visual Studio, Azure DevOps and Azure Key Vault for code testing, CI/CD and security.- Incorporated various types of automated unit tests (White, Grey and Black Box testing).- Regularly did presentations, demonstrating improvements made to the minimal viable product.- Completed the project within the deadline, with the application being available to be used by the team.- Created a user guide in Confluence after project completion.
