Jv Baseball Head Coach

Goffstown High School

Goffstown, New Hampshire

This is a paid coaching position as an employee of the Goffstown High School Coaching staff. I have led the Grizzlies JV Baseball team to a 49-6 record since 2015 capped off with a DII JV State Tournament championship in 2015 a Semi Final finish in the DI State tournament (as a DII team) in 2016 and a Quarter Final dinish in teh DI State Tournament in 2017 (as a DII team). Our season begins in February with weekly winter workouts followed by tryouts where I cut the team down from 25 to 15 - 18 players normally. I am in charge of handling cuts, player development and playing time balance throughout the season. I challenge all of my kids to set 3 goals they wanted to achieve by years end and update them on their progress throughout the season each year. Several of our players are called up to the Varsity team throughout the season and some make the Varsity playoff roster each year due to their hard work, ability, growth and production throughout the season on my team. I was tasked with handling playing time throughout the entire season and making sure I put together a winning program that also taught the fundamentals and improved the ability of all of my players. I was also named the JV Baseball Head Coach of the year for the state of NH in 2016 based on several factors including our undefeated season, strong show of sportsmanship, program strength, player development, and recognition from opposing coaches.

Head Coach

American Legion Baseball

Goffstown, Nh (Legion Post #16)

After three seasons as an assistant coach I have taken over as the head coach for Goffstown Post #16 Senior Legion Baseball Team. We play in the Senior District A Division of the New Hampshire Legion Baseball chapter. I am in charge of selecting and managing a roster of 18 players between the ages of 15 and 19 (High School and College) and am responsible for all recruitment and development of the players as well as game management decisions. Our players come from an area in the state that spans two different high schools so player development and inclusion is a must to develop a winning program. This position is technically a volunteer position as I am not paid by the Post but it is a position widely recognized throughout the United States given the importance of American Legion baseball and the national visibility it receives. Over the last two seasons our team compiled a combined record of 21-15 and was ranked in the top half of our District each season. Please see our website here for more information http://goffstownalbaseball.org/. Unfortunately our legion baseball program was dissolved prior to the 2017 season.
