Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) as a part of her leadership team, led the security and privacy functions with 4 direct reports, an additional 20 reports in a matrixed organization, and a budget of over $4M. The security team was additionally augmented by a managed Security Operations Center (SOC), which provided 24x7 detection and response support. Key focus for this role was enterprise data protection, compliance (including ISO/IEC 27001 and GDPR), product security, and direct B2B customer engagement to reinforce brand value. Also developed and implemented a three-year strategy to transform the security program into an efficient, effective, and proactive business-focused asset.Led security, privacy, and compliance workstreams during complex separation and integration for merger with another global messaging provider. Worked from initial due diligence through to consolidation of security processes, compliance activities, and teams. Managed communication with existing customers on impact of merger to their sensitive data to ensure no loss in customer trust.

Reporting to the National Cyber Security Leader, this was a Partner-level leadership role responsible for cybersecurity in the Pacific Northwest (Seattle and Portland). Leading a team of 8 direct reports, project delivery teams of up to 30, a $6M budget, while also being a key member of the US and global cybersecurity leadership teams. Responsible for developing key new cybersecurity products and services particularly around enhancing security strategy and security architecture capabilities. Positioned the firm to cultivate new business by developing new ‘go-to-market’ offerings which used innovative methodologies for crafting security strategy for larger companies which aligned security strategy with both the business strategy and the technology strategy. Led the pilot effort at a top-tier Silicon Valley company following a string of high-profile security incidents while in process of moving from packaged software delivery model to cloud subscription model.

Reporting to the Chief Security Officer, was responsible for leading a team of 6 direct reports and a broader team of 40 permanent and contract resources who were specialists in security architecture, security engineering, project engagement and vulnerability management. Also led the enterprise Cyber Incident Response Team through a critical transition. In addition, was responsible for strategic security planning and the development of security technical roadmaps across the T-Mobile technology organization. Administered $100M+ security capital program and executed the operating plan for Corporate Information Security. Spearheaded the transformation of the security program to address current and emerging risks and threats whilst providing greater accountability to key stakeholders by leading the implementation of numerous enterprise cybersecurity technologies. These included: a new Security Event and Information Management (SEIM) platform; enterprise data encryption technology; an Enterprise Governance, Risk, and Compliance (EGRC) platform; and network intelligence and analysis systems. Also was appointed as the company’s external representative for cybersecurity on industry and government boards such as the CTIA Cybersecurity Working Group and the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) Communication Security, Reliability, and Interoperability Committee (CSRIC).

Reporting to the Technology Senior Director, responsible for leading the Enterprise Architecture team, with 2 direct reports and a further team of 15 senior individual contributors who provided the link between business strategy and technology strategy for the company. Key focus of this role included planning the IT strategic roadmap and transformation plan to meet future business needs. Also served as primary liaison into the Deutsche Telekom Enterprise Architecture team and participated as voting member for the U.S in the Corporate IT Architecture and Standards Council along with other key architecture leaders in Deutsche Telekom. In addition, spearheaded the planning and creation of Enterprise Architecture repository from initial concept through to funding approval, design and implementation of the IBM Rational Systems Architect tool which contributed greatly to the successful planning of the IT modernization program as well as easing compliance with Deutsche Telekom mandates around application rationalization.

Reporting to the corporate Chief Technology Officer (CTO), was the regional CTO, technical strategist and key member of the regional business unit leadership team for the Pacific Northwest Region and principal thought leader for the national (US) cybersecurity practice. Provided leadership for majority of CSC’s commercial security engagements, serving as executive-level trusted advisor to number of key clients to help them effectively develop security programs. Led the IT security program as Interim Chief Security Officer for a financial services leader, and transformed security incident response for a Fortune 500 wireless telecommunications company and a Fortune 500 bank.Also, directed a large software engineering team for the world’s top e-commerce company. Built new ecommerce functionality and deployed it in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model to other retailers using custom development and content management framework in an Agile/Scrum CI/CD environment.
