Currently directs The Roskamp Institute, a not-for-profit biomedical research institute in Sarasota, Florida which pioneers novel drug development for neurological disorders. The Roskamp Institute has given rise to multiple spin off for profit entities under Mike's direction with specific functions including advancing a new treatment for AD to phase III clinical trials in Europe and testing nutraceutical treatments for neurological conditions. Although specializing in AD research the Institute also works on new treatments for Traumatic Brain Injury, Gulf War Illness, Multiple Sclerosis, Autism and the addictions.
