As asenior leader within the University, the Deputy Director of Professional Services is a keymember of the College Professional Leadership Team (PSLT), the College Management Group(CMG), and will represent the College on key University committees. As a senior College leadengage with the University’s change programme, supporting delivery of the College andUniversity’s ambition through transformation.

Based in the School of Philosophy, Psychology and Language Sciences, a key member of School management team with responsibility for overall organisation, planning and management of support services, including financial management, project and estates management, recruitment and retention of support staff, human resource and other operational areas in order to deliver School strategic objectives

Head of Administration within the School of Humanities.My main function was to support the School in implementing and achieving its strategic aims and objectives, including responsibility for the financial management of all School activities. In addition, I also directly led the administrative/professional services function within the School.This included responsibility for the overall organisation, planning, and management of all services (teaching and student, research and operational support) across the School, and the development, implementation and performance measurement of the School's strategic plan in order to to deliver and achieve objectives.

Part of the team responsible for the development of the new Diploma in Legal Practice at University of Glasgow within the new framework for Legal Education outlined by the Law Society of Scotland. This role included the development of marketing strategy, quality assurance procedures and implementation of accreditation frameworks for the School's professional legal education programmes which were successfully accredited by the Law Society of Scotland in 2010.The Diploma in Professional Legal Practice programme successfully launched in September 2010.The School of Law will also be offering post-diploma education for trainees in terms of the new framework from September 2011 and CPD provision for legal professionals.

Coordinated Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and management development programmes within the Centre for Executive Education in Strathclyde Business School. My role included management of the Centre's client portfolio, ranging from local government to FTSE 100 listed clients. Alongside coordinating management development for existing clients, this role also included business development and expanding the Centre's client portfolio. Further key tasks included the development of fEC procedures to apply to all Centre activity.I also managed a portfolio of open/customised CPD programmes and postgraduate programmes in Executive Coaching for professionals and major public sector clients.
