This included finding examples of other websites, writing content, find links and resources and collaborating with the web development team to design a website we could be proud of.

After an extensive training covering language, culture and youth development, I was placed in a permanent living site with a host family in the northern Hhohho region of Eswatini where I worked as a youth development teacher within the local high school. After only six months in Eswatini, all of Peace Corps had to be evacuated due to COVID-19.

Duties included cashiering, bagging groceries, assigning roles and placement of cashiers, ordering cleaning supplies for the entire store, processing returns and exchanges, and making sure that the front end of the store stayed clean and presentable for customers.

Supervised the sandwich line at busy bagel cafe down the street from University of Hartford. Duties included quality inspection, keeping employees on task and ensuring speed of service.

Portland, Maine Area

Walked door to door talking to folks about Maine state politics and issues with Maine’s current governor. Had the opportunity to influence a local state senate seat by collecting absentee ballots across the county. Really refined my skills in debating and influencing people to join a meaningful cause.
