The consolidation of the Data Center and migration of applications to the AWS Cloud repository was completed. The objective was to move most of the work force to a remote work situation, upgrade the office and Data Center operations, and then move the staff back to the new office operations. Data Center Reduction – Decommission 462 servers, switches, backup devices and network operational devices. Organize the migration of servers to ensure ongoing operations, set up new MDF and IDF’s for each floor and ensure the cut overs were successful.Perform Disaster Recovery Testing – It was necessary to ensure that all operations continued to be protected by performing ongoing DR testing.Facilitate Facility Coordination – The general office construction was led by Facilities Group; however, all AV, Low Voltage and Network configuration were my responsibility. Each third-party project plans were incorporated into the Master Project plan to ensure a timely completion of this project. -

The database, a MDR (Master Data Repository) was SharePoint based and SQL supported to provide connectivity to both organizations Active Directory, Workday, SCCM and varies IT repositories that provided detailed information of all Domestic and Global End Users. This MDR provided a Single Source of Truth to track every step of the User Migration, allowing all global and domestic partners to update status data. In addition, a Executive Dashboard, using PowerBI, was connected to the SQL database to provide interactive live dashboards to track the success of this migration.I was the key Software Solution Architect to plan and work with developers to achieve a operational tool to track migration activity, send out communications, in 17 languages, using Power Automate, and gather information for End Users to auto upload to MDR. The design also allowed post migration confirmation, from multiple IT Operations, to ensure these Users received a quality, confirmed migration experience. -

This included IC3 Telephoning software configuration, support scripts, procedures documents, Remedy configuration and utilization, first call resolution procedures and escalation procedures.o Establish Level 2 desk side support for newly upgraded Users. Ensure training of L2 staff with SCCM R2 remote control and the utilization of SCCM Software Center to deploy packaged software applications.o Establish Conversion Team policy and procedures to achieve the upgrade of Users to Windows 7. This included the procedures to ensure connectivity and monitor computer device thru out the upgrade process via SCCM and RDP. In addition, train Conversion staff on how to mitigate conversion issues to ensure the devices were fully upgraded to Windows 7 and returned to the Users with their migrated profiles and data.o Establish Level 3 migration support policy and procedures to ensure the devices were successfully migrated to Windows 7. This included all SCCM, Network, Firewall, Group Policy and local Administrator related issues. In addition, mitigation of any application compatibility issues between the Users and the Subject Matter Experts.o Establish and maintain Executive Steering committee communication to provide project status on current and future User migrations. This was accomplished by the use of dashboards, matrix reports from Remedy, One Note and SharePoint. The clear objective was to achieve a 94% Zero Touch Windows 7 upgrade run rate. -
