Curious and passionate about computers and Information Technology from a young age, Michael immigrated to Australia in 2004 to undertake a Bachelor degree in IT with La Trobe University in pursuit of his passion and dream of one day owning his own business. After finishing his degree Michael entered the corporate world as an IT professional working in the supply chain and logistics industry. Over the next 7 years, Michael solidified his experience in IT whilst completing an MBA at the University of Melbourne. The degree enabled Michael to understand how to align information technology with business needs, a foundation that would unpin the framework for his first business venture. Based on his experience, research and industry insight Michael quickly discovered a significant challenge facing the logistics industry as most companies found it difficult to grow their business because their current operation and internal system were not built for scale and not properly aligned with their customers needs. As a result, staff were often left frustrated with tedious manual file and data transfers which increased process times and decreased staff productivity. With the demand for a more streamlined approach, advancements in technology and his sound business and industry knowledge Michael launched CargoTech in 2014 with the mission is to transform how logistics companies systemise and streamline their business to increase their efficiency and achieve rapid growth by leveraging the latest cloud based technology. As founder Michael now focuses on the strategic direction and growth of the business to help achieve the company's mission.
