As Director of Digital Strategy for the U.S. Department of Commerce, I was responsible for the online presence of 11 bureaus and the Office of the Secretary. My day often consisted of writing a blog post about a new initiative, checking Google Analytics for a program office and working with multiple teams to ensure that an event has enough coverage on Twitter, Facebook and Ustream. Oversaw production and implementation of all content for Drupal-based commerce.gov.Staffed Commerce Secretary and Deputy Commerce Secretary at open press events.Produced multiple videos documenting the Secretary’s activities, as well as, others to fit with our message of export promotionWrote press releases, talking points, scripts, speeches and Q&A.
