Performed duties of Electrical Engineer II position that was responsible for creating project related engineering documents (URS, BoD, & BoMs) including all scope and specification datasheets for POD (modular cleanroom lab) projects. This included creation of all electrical drawings while reviewing mechanical, piping and structural drawings for manufacturing coordination. Once receiving a project, the Electrical Engineer was responsible for designing and sizing the entire POD electrical system scope to ensure the POD could be built per owners and/or site requirements. This included creating details, one-lines, three lines, power plan layouts, lighting plan layouts, riser diagrams, grounding plans, and panel schedules while sizing the panelboards, breakers, and cable to meet all NEC requirements. The position worked closely with the manufacturing team ensuring all information for accuracy and installation needs. The position was responsible for 4-6 projects at a time involving the manufacturing of the PODS and ensuring each POD received adequate electrical power for all clean room activities and associated lab equipment including all HVAC Systems, UPS Systems, EMS/BMS Control Systems, Power/Lighting Systems, and Fire Alarm Systems while adhering to all NFPA & State Energy codes required for final destination were achieved.

Performed EMCS Asset Management functions on individual buildings and optimize overall utility usages on site. Established and optimized the entire Building Automation Systems (BAS) used in controlling all facility and utility equipment assets. Electronically created schedules and setpoints for the optimized equipment functionality and performance. Created trending logs and various other reports to document any and all irregular performances of the equipment and their associated alarms. Determined the worst performing and end of life cycle equipment for the optimal energy efficiencies in performance, maintenance, and replacement strategy schedules, maximizing labor and fiscal resources. Provided updated site standards to drive the operations, maintenance and site re-capitalization strategy. The position was vital and involved a significant amount of work and be summarized by tracking site utilities and their downstream building assets; how they perform; the cost of operating; the optimal time to repair, replace or eliminate a particular asset or piece of equipment, while achieving total asset efficiencies while keeping the cost of site utilities at predicted and digitally improved and optimized levels.

Created conduit designs for fabrication and installation of electrical and control wiring of mechanical and instrumentation equipment involving power and control applications used for HRSG and other Gas Turbine Power Plant Applications.

The position created new 3D Model while correcting and updating installation notes, arrangement plans, elevations, sections, details, including and isometric drawings in word, excel, pdf and dwg electronic file formats concerning the system operation of and upgrades to the Idaho Nuclear Waste Treatment Unit. I verified accuracy of existing mechanical design data/drawings from previous construction and operations using walk down analysis of existing systems at the US Dept. of Energy – Idaho National Laboratories site.
