I was promoted into a key executive position reporting to the CEO to lead the organisation through a significant turnaround. Led the organisation through company-wide cost reductions, while at the same time, through strong change management, increased employee engagement and reduced employee turnover. Designed and implemented top talent retention plans ensuring top talent remained through the turnaround.Introduced and implemented Challenger Selling through strong change management and leadership development. Built the leadership capability of our front line managers and equipped our sales employees with best in bread B2B selling skills.Designed and implemented the Healthy Minds program to support employees with mental health issues and upskilling managers to have more confidence in dealing with the topic. Implemented a Domestic Violence policy which supported some of our most vulnerable women in their time of need. Developed our people analytics including a strong understanding of our gender equity gaps and implemented a program to close the wage gap.

I was brought into Corporate Express with a greenfield Organisational Development setting. Designed, built and implemented their talent management program including a competent framework. Designed and implemented the leadership and management curriculum including a Business Women of the Year program.Through these and other programs employee jumped from 47% in 2009 to 65% 18 months later. Employee turnover dramatically reduced over this period. The organisation had embarked on the implementation of SAP and I designed a change management program to support this implementation. Facilitated change management workshops throughout Australia. There was a clear gap in development of sales employees. I worked with top sales talent and built our a bespoke Corporate Express sales program. When Staples acquired Corporate Express, I was the HR lead for the transition. I worked with a cross functional team to lead this transformation. Lead a team of recruiters, L&D, and Sales Coaches.

In this roll I was able to elevate HR from an administrative function to a true strategic partner; taking it from simple reporting to leadership and talent development, as well as turning around a culture with low engagement. Introduced strong talent management and front line management training across my territories and drove engagement on the shop floor and management team. Built great partnerships with leaders and OD function and proud of what we achieved.Responsible for all aspects of HR in my territories from recruitment, wage negotiations of multiple enterprise bargaining agreements, and investigations to leadership development, mentoring, and talent management.

I was an HR Graduate for Unilever South Africa working in their biggest manufacturing facility in Boksburg. I worked as both an HR Generalist as well as Employee Relations Officer in a mature trade union environment playing a key role in all wage negotiations and strike management. I was very proud of the work we did supporting employees with HIV/AIDS and led an HIV/AIDS prevalence testing and education initiative.Played a leadership role in a organisational change initiative in the EF&P plant. This program entrenchment my passion for Organisation Development and Change Management. Supported the implementation of a TPM program (process improvement) and led my own Kaizen projects.
