About Michael Knight

I am a seasoned HR executive who has lead transformation in greenfield, best in breed, and turnaround business environments. I have a strong track record of building employee engagement as well as designing and implementing company wide leadership programs. My strong change management experience in Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa has allowed me to leading company wide transformation. My leadership style resonates at both the shop floor and boardroom table. I am proud to be there when employees need it most and have designed and implemented Mental Health and Domestic Violence programs. I am passionate about coaching leaders and building teams.     I was brought into Corporate Express with a greenfield Organisational Development setting. Designed, built and implemented their talent management program including a competent framework. Designed and implemented the leadership and management curriculum including a Business Women of the Year program.Through these and other programs employee jumped from 47% in 2009 to 65% 18 months later. Employee turnover dramatically reduced over this period. The organisation had embarked on the implementation of SAP and I designed a change management program to support this implementation. Facilitated change management workshops throughout Australia. There was a clear gap in development of sales employees. I worked with top sales talent and built our a bespoke Corporate Express sales program. When Staples acquired Corporate Express, I was the HR lead for the transition. I worked with a cross functional team to lead this transformation. Lead a team of recruiters, L&D, and Sales Coaches.
