As a Client Executive crossing the Health & Public Sector and Communications, Media & Technology verticals, I was accountable for the overall sales and delivery performance of a number of accounts across the Defence & Intelligence domains ranging in size from $500k to $20M+ annual sales/revenue.My daily role included working with both internal and external stakeholders and partners to develop relationships and identify and execute opportunities in the Cloud, Digital and Business Applications spaces. In this role, I was able to leverage my extensive delivery experience to build credibility whilst also adding value through ensuring proposed solutions are developed to be cognisant of risk and upside opportunities for both the customer and Avanade.Following contract execution, my role retained accountability for the successful delivery of services, including P&L management, resource identification and as an escalation point for any issues as the team works towards delivering the contracted outcome.

Resources IndustryI was initially engaged for a Project Management role within a Program of Work preparing for and migrating 100k+ mailboxes and other associated data from and on premises environment to Exchange Online. After initial review and discussion with the existing Program Manager and the customer’s Senior Leadership, my role was extended to management of the overall Program of work (valued at approx. USD $8.5M over 2 years), including oversight of 3rd party contractors to the customer and the customer’s own staff.The Program Management role included a significant component of business stakeholder management and included coordination of Program team members across the Americas, Europe, Australia, India, China and the Philippines.During the first year of the Program, key milestones were negotiated and met, with efficiencies identified and implemented resulting in a first year saving against budget of 28%.Insurance IndustryAs the Project Manager, I was responsible for managing the development of a global Office 365 Strategy, focused on identifying roadblocks and determining solutions which would enable the organisation to move from 3 disparate regions into a single global Office 365 domain enabling enhanced collaboration and communication to occur across the organisation. This was a short 4-6 week engagement which involved significant communication across Australia, Europe and North America and the challenging of established norms.

Legal IndustryAs the Project Manager, I was responsible for facilitating a series of workshops with Executive Management designed to gather the Requirements for a large scale ERP solution which would provide for the management of all aspects of the organisation’s work from back-end IT management through customer matter management and to financial reconciliation and closure. Subsequent to this information gathering, Michael was responsible for the development of detailed pricing and implementation plans through management of a combined on-offshore team.Financial IndustryAs the Project Manager, I was responsible for planning and managing the initial stages of a Desktop Transformation project which incorporated the Organisational Change Management aspects of introducing a new business unit to the company while at the same time upgrading to a new Standard Operating Environment.Federal GovernmentAs the Project Manager, I was responsible for managing a successful project to upgrade the Agency from Microsoft CRM 4.0 to Microsoft CRM 2011, and subsequently to implement additional features and functionality which were then available as a result of the upgrade.

Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF)I was initially assigned to the DAFF account to manage a $1M project implementing the Identity Lifecycle Management Project, aimed at improving access and audit controls for users across the many disparate systems within the department. In this role I was responsible not only for managing the HP delivery team, but also coordination and management of the DAFF staff involved in the project.Whilst at DAFF, I was recognised as a Senior Project Manager within the account and my involvement was expanded to include a formal Quality Assurance and Program Management role, mentoring other Project Managers on the account with respect to schedule construction and maintenance, financial management and general Project Management activityDepartment of Health and AgeingI was assigned the Project Manager role for a $1.5M project to develop a specialised Web Content Management System and Portal for the Department of Health and Ageing. This required a significant amount of close management in the early phases to ensure the contracts accurately reflected the business requirements and expectations, and that all project stakeholders were in agreement with the way forward.I successfully completed the project on-time and ahead of budget, despite multiple changes in project sponsorship, and limited in-house project management knowledge and capability.Activities and Responsibilities whilst at Hewlett-Packard included:• Engagement and management of multiple 3rd party contractors• Management of geographically dispersed project team• Management of Project financials• Management of stakeholders, both internal and external to the project.• Management of customer staff• Quality Assurance and Mentoring of other Project Management staff• Regular reporting

InTACT is an ACT Government agency which was created to be the sole provider of ICT Infrastructure and Services to the Whole of ACT Government. It operates on a Cost Recovery Basis and is a matrix organisation where all Technical staff juggle the requirements of Business as Usual with Projects.As a member of the Program Management Office, I was responsible for managing a portfolio of around 15 small to medium ICT projects, including:• ICT Provisioning for new and relocating offices• Web Portal Upgrade and Development• CCTV Transmission• Core Infrastructure UpgradesActivities and Responsibilities while at InTACT included:• Proposal Development and Project Planning• Engagement of 3rd Parties• Resource planning and management• Implementation Management• InvoicingAchievements included:• Successful recovery of a relocation project which was tracking over time and budget• Successful recovery (over 3 months) of a web portal implementation project which had been running without delivery for over 2 years.

I was contracted to Manage the rollout of approximately 2500 Office MFDs throughout Defence with a total contact value of $23M+. Following the successful rollout a contract for a further 1200 machines was awarded and I was retained to manage this rollout and other smaller projects.Activities and Responsibilities included:• Project planning and management• Development of project and back-office processes, procedures and systems• Stock planning• Negotiation with Dealer network• Negotiation with transport suppliers• Day to day customer liaison and negotiation• Staff managementAchievements included;• Successful rollout of 1200 machines in 2 months with nil overtime recorded• Development of project collaboration tool, integrating MS Project Schedule into MS Access database• High level of customer satisfaction resulting in additional contract being awarded.• Introducing Project Management to a company which had previously had limited experience in the area.

I worked in Telstra as a contractor on a major Alarm Management project, working with the Senior Project Manager to manage a small development team, internal stakeholders and a major Vendor.Activities and Responsibilities included:• Consolidation and management of vendor and Telstra schedules forming a Master Project Schedule containing approximately 10,000 activities• Day to day liaison with Telstra and vendor staff to establish and manage project actions, issues and dependencies and to manage schedule• Negotiation with Vendor to identify and implement potential project enhancements• Production and maintenance of Project Management documentation together with Project Manager• Identification and Management of Project Change Requests

The ANZAC Ship Alliance is a tripartite alliance between Defence, Tenix and Saab Systems, tasked with managing the Change program for the ANZAC class frigates. My role in the Alliance was Program Controller, reporting to the Program Manager.Activities and Responsibilities included:• Development of Program Management procedures for multi-project Alliance involving Defence and Industry• Liaison and negotiation with Project Controls Organisations within Alliance Participant companies• Development of Project Tasking Statements and Project Charters, providing a mechanism for authorization of new work• Management and Reporting of performance of Program consisting of 100+ projects totalling $250M over 5 years• Preparation of Program forecast to satisfy Commonwealth budget requirements• Preparation and/or Review of Project Pricing and Schedule Documents.• Identification of new work
