• Led the Los Angeles Data Strategy team as founding director. Team was created to mitigate complexity of large projects by serving as a liaison between marketing consulting, statistical modeling, and data development teams, simultaneously interfacing with client data owners to identify relevant data sources, resolve data quality issues, determine data processing rules, and validate modeling-ready datasets.• Oversaw numerous marketing mix modeling projects involving Fortune 500 and other large companies, and over $10 million in annual revenue. • Managed a team of database, ETL, and data warehouse developers collectively responsible for a portfolio of homeowner’s insurance and property appraisal B2B projects, business intelligence, data warehouse, and ad-hoc analytics projects with over $20 million in annual revenue.• Redesigned and oversaw development of the MSB Interchange system, used by several large insurance companies, for batch valuation of homeowners insurance books of business, covering tens of millions of residential properties. System redesign resulted in a smaller, more robust codebase, improved data quality, reduced development costs, with the system driving revenues of over $1 million per year.

• Designed database and oversaw database development and data conversion routines for MSB’s Residential Cost Tracker 4, used by nearly half of the major homeowners insurance companies in the US. Redesign more than doubled the number of supported property valuation transactions per minute on comparable hardware relative to the previous version of the system.• Successfully completed data conversion for the Marshall Valuation Platform for computer assisted mass property appraisal after numerous delays under a prior development team, fulfilling a contractual obligation with the State of Arizona and allowing for subsequent sales to 30 additional clients, with revenues exceeding $2 million.• Key member of MSB Architecture Team and IT Steering Committee. Planner and participant in MSB’s Enterprise Data Architecture initiative. Involved in vendor selection for ETL, master data management, and data quality software. Designed proof of concept scenarios and evaluation criteria for vendor RFPs.

• Helped repair a strained relationship between the IT and Finance Departments by taking control of poorly designed and undocumented systems and data import processes. After reverse-engineering and rewriting a significant portion of the company's reporting infrastructure, both data quality and the IT/Finance relationship improved dramatically.• Improved several key problem areas in company processes and procedures after working with business and technology leaders to identify areas of greatest need. These initiatives resulted in faster processing and encoding of movies and music videos, improved user experience on the CinemaNow website, and the elimination of fragile processes for publishing data from internal to client-facing database systems, reducing incidences of site downtime and issues with data quality.

• Collaborated with Mediabase founder/President to design and develop systems for providing radio airplay information to the radio and record industries. Improved core systems from batch oriented reporting on 4 gigabytes of basic information, to well over 1 terabyte and 5 years of data, covering all songs played on over 1,000 radio stations with reports available on demand. Improvements led to greatly increased revenue, enhanced stature in the music industry, and facilitated strategic partnerships.• Designed and managed development of Music Information Systems, a portal featuring data from Mediabase, Radio and Records, HITS, and The Album Network, for use by record labels in researching the success of their songs in garnering radio airplay and achieving success on music industry charts. Designed and oversaw development of Radio & Records’ Add Tracker program, used by 900 radio stations nationwide to report weekly adds to their playlists. Used by over 1000 record company clients, Add Tracker served as an essential tool in record promotion and getting new songs played on the radio.

• Designed and developed a system to automate the upload and processing of auto insurance quotes from insurance agency desktop systems to an insurance carrier’s AS/400-based carrier management system. This system was an element of a deal that allowed this mid-sized insurance company to be acquired by a larger insurance carrier.
