Managed the planning and delivery of wells for deep water in deep water Gulf of Mexico as follows:• Planned and executed wells in various fields in such a manner as to deliver cost savings of 5-10% of Authorization for Expenditure through rigorous application of the well delivery process (WDP) and drilling the limit (DTL) concept. • Wells technical reviewer in major projects such as Mars Field Development Plans (FDP), Zabazaba FDP and Nakika Phase II development. Carried out technical review and commercial analysis of the well engineering aspects of the FDP, seeing how it fits in the over-all project plans and making recommendations for improvement.Maintained and supported continous learning and improvement efforts in the in all aspects of well delivery by promoting matured technology application and prompt After Action Reviews (AARs).

Managed the skills, resources, processes and standards required for the effective upfront planning and delivery of onshore and shallow offshore wells. Projects ranged in scope from $8M to $45M. • Launched a new Well Engineering Management System for Shell Petroleum Development Company in 2003. Eliminated gaps soliciting inputs from each of the contributing teams, challenging the quality of contributions and carrying out the final updates. Made presentation of final product to management and got commendation for the effort.• Pioneered the implementation of the Shell global well delivery process (GWDP) in Nigeria using a shallow offshore big CAT well (JK-1X). Prepared a Stakeholders’ Management document which clarified the roles and responsibility of all stakeholders in the application of the new process for a flawless execution of the well project. The exploration well was the first in the three-year period to be delivered within approved budget.

Managed the skills, resources, processes and standards for effective and timely preparation of contract strategies, proposals, tendering/negotiations and award of all drilling and completion contracts for SPDC. • Pioneered the implementation of strategic cost leadership initiatives involving collaboration with other Shell Operating Units all over the world and delivered several million dollar savings for the Shell group. Led/coordinated the workshop sessions where the strategies for implementation (including Joint Venture Partner’s engagement) in Shell Nigeria were developed. The implementation of the initiative which was then known as the Big Lever Club led to an award of performance bonus for me and my team.

Held various well engineering positions including, Well Site Drilling Engineer, Operations Engineer, Offshore Well Engineer, Onshore Well Site Drilling Engineer, Planning Engineer. • Prepared and presented a technical report to a group of well engineers and managers. As the secretary of the Quality Improvement (QIP) team on the retrieval of gravel pack liner assembly. Organized and documented the brainstorming sessions and did the initial collation of our report. The QIP won the Shell Petroleum Development Company’s Managing Director’s Award and silver medal in the Shell Group Award in 1995. • First SPDC Hub Coordinator for Well Global Network (1997-1999). Coordinated knowledge sharing efforts within SPDC as a subset of the Shell Group. Efforts led to a $30M/annum contribution to business improvement.
