Used Python and Linux System Admin skill set to architect, lead and perform a full re-write of the WiredTree client web interface using Django.Duties and responsibilities at WiredTree included:- Creating custom scripts and Django applications to automate system admin procedures for staff and clients- Updated all client facing and back-end automation systems to work with the next major release of the billing system. This required several Python, PHP, and SQL query updates to legacy code.- Maintaining and updating legacy code- Performing code review- Testing driven development- Deploying updates The scripts and web apps communicate with several internal and client CentOS servers to perform various tasks.

During my time at Vail, I performed tasks relating to system administration in Linux environments. My larger projects included:- Designing and implementing a configurable notification system (uses MySQL, back-end written in Python, and front-end written using HTML, Javascript, jQuery, and jqGrid)- Redesigning and implementing a graphing system used to display call data (uses MySQL database, back-end written in Python, and front-end written using HTML, Javascript, jQuery, and Highcharts)- Creating a custom conversion tool that allowed all data to be exported from Request Tracker and imported into JIRA (written in Python)In addition, I created web interfaces that automate procedures and reduce the amount of human error.
