The President & CEO is directly in charge of the operations of the Students’ Union. The responsibilities of the President and CEO include, but are not limited to:  Serve as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and official spokesperson for the Students’ Union; Work towards fulfilling the Ends Policy of the Students’ Union as interpreted by the Strategic Plan; Remain in compliance with the Executive Limitation Policies;  Help establish the overall Vision of the Students’ Union, with assistance of the Board of Directors, to better serve the members of the corporation; Oversee all functions and departments of the Students’ Union; Maintain an awareness of new trends and innovative ideas with regards to student governance and associations on a local, provincial, and national level;  Hire and manage a team of Vice Presidents, who will aid and oversee the various departments and functions of the Students’ Union; In conjunction with the appropriate Vice President, ensure the portfolios and functions of Finance & Administration, Campus Experience, Clubs & Associations, and University Affairs are executed in compliance with the Strategic Plan on all campuses;  In conjunction with the Executive Director, ensure the business operations are achieving optimum performance and support staff are effectively assisting the daily operation and functions of all levels of the Students’ Union;  Negotiate all agreements – including operating agreements, contracts, and partnerships with Wilfrid Laurier University and any other external group – for the Students’ Union;  Ensure compliance with all by-laws, policies, and regulations of the corporation;  Carry out any applicable policy direction from the Board of Directors;  Report directly to the Board of Directors;  Lead the development of the annual operating budget for the Students’ Union, ensuring all departmental budgets are prepared within specific period timelines and guidelines;
