We work by making minor alterations to the property, assisting in property selection and helping in the design of renovations or new builds.Environmental Designers use the time-honoured methods of Traditional Feng Shui.My potted history from the start of my career to the present day.As a schoolboy, 1 wondered why certain parts of London would have more crime than others.I studied the environmental aspects as it involved large numbers of people from a district.In my research, I found two methods that involve the environment and the “growth” of living things.Terroir – It details the environmental factors that affect crop growth in the cultivation. It is documented by the AOC (Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée). It is an established system, and the methods are replicated throughout the world. Feng Shui – a Chinese practice which harmonises individuals with their surrounding environments. In the west, the subject was the interior of a property. I wanted to study the whole environment. After more than two years of searching, I found a practitioner who was looking for students to be trained in her expertise – KanYu (The Management of the Environment). Only students of serious intent were invited for the training near Seattle, Washington, USA.The training was intense, very much like my training to be a Court Reporting Office. There was apprenticeships on various projects.I now understand the various division of London – the wealthy, middle classes and the deprived. More importantly, I can see the developing trend where areas are being gentrified, becoming poorer and staying the same. It is a powerful method, and I want to share this method with others who want to use the environment to assist them in their lives.I have worked in North America, Europe, the Middle East and South East Asia, completing more than a thousand projects. In fact, it was my childhood dream and thought it was not possible as I was born in Singapore. But, they offered me the job. It was quite an achievement! I worked in the various roles from project management, leadership, criminal law, expert witness, drugs of abuse and various sophisticated analytical techniques. I have reported on various high profile cases – the large mass murderer in London, largest drugs seizure, death of celebrities etc.I had observed that crime hotspots were localised to certain parts of London. The more I looked into this, I came to the view that it was the environment that contributed to crime and other aspects of life. I started to study the various subjects which could link the environment to the quality of life. The only established method was a Chinese Philosophy called Feng Shui. At that time, there was hardly any credible and coherent information on this subject. I persevered and sought this knowledge from the East. Working with Crime is a very negative environment. The working atmosphere gets that way and I wanted to do something that is consistent with my aim of helping to improve people’s lives. I decided to help people by using the methods of Feng Shui.Co-incidentally, my ex colleague at the Institute of Psychiatry, Sir Robin Murray, has conclusively shown that one of the key elements in the causation of schizophrenia is the environment. This shows how important the environment is for a good quality of life. -

It was a very productive period. I not only received a PhD with a commendation for the work which was supported by 15 papers published in prestigious neuroscience and medical journals. I worked with Sir Robin Murray FRS who is the Professor of Psychiatric Research at the Institute which is now part of King’s College London.
