Michael is a Chartered Structural Engineer with 16 years’ experience working on architecturally driven, internally acclaimed projects across the globe.At BDP, Michael co-leads the Sports Sector for all Engineering disciplines and as part of a design team, Michael specializes in the design and delivery of complex projects, be that their geometry, architectural aesthetic, overall size, programme constraints, build complexity, choice of materials, or all the above across a range of Sports, Aviation, Cultural, Healthcare and Life Sciences Projects; supplementing a firm grasp of the basics with specialist knowledge. To this part, Michael strives to blur the boundaries between individual disciplines, encouraging the development of a collaborative, preferably digitally centred, environment to ensure the best decisions for the project are consistently reached. Outside of BDP, Michael has lectured at the Bartlett School of Architecture, the IStructE, ICE and the London Real Estate Forum and has presented papers at the International Association of Shell and Spatial Structures in Hamburg and MIT. Michael has previously undertaken the role of Chair of the Institution of Structural Engineers North Thames Regional Group.
