Michael is an industry expert and C-level executive with over 25 years of experience in high tech and finance services. At Avaloq, he ensures that clients benefit from a smooth service experience. In his prior engagements Michael has delivered next generation technology solutions in different areas across wealth management, asset management and investment banking as the accountable CIO. He has led global teams (>1000 FTE) across multiple centers as well as large scale strategic change programs with significant business impact. Michael and his teams have won a number of industry awards for their work. Michael believes in the power of innovation, he is an active serial investor in high tech start-ups and serves as board member for two companies. Talent development and diversity are very close to Michael’s heart. He is chairing a number of initiatives to attract the best people and to ensure that they can develop and operate with impact.Michael likes to keep active through hiking, skiing and golfing, and spending time outdoors with his family. He now calls Switzerland home, but has spent a significant portion of his life in other parts of the world, including the US, the UK and Germany. Elements of these different cultures – straightforwardness, a can-do attitude and pragmatism – have influenced Michael strongly and are a significant success factor in his career.
