Michael brings a wealth of experience and innovation across both the corporate and private enterprise spheres. Michael has built an impressive track record of success in business growth and transition management, along with his deep and wide-spread community ties and networks. Michael began his career at Elders Finance Group in 1986, specialising in organisational psychology and is a registered psychologist with the Australian Psychological Association. In 1990, he joined the National Australia Bank in human resources, strategy, succession and corporate planning across all facets of the retail and business banking operation. From 1995 to 2011, Michael held the position of Managing Director of Cabways. Within 5 years, Michael built this business to be Australia’s largest privately-owned taxi fleet with over 400 staff. This operation became the model for other taxi companies in the industry.Since 2013, Michael has led Mawson’s Growth and Transformation team, working with business owners to actively develop, implement and manage their companies through times of change and growth. Concurrently, Michael has built and/or sold multiple businesses in technology, construction and finance.
