A consultancy drawing upon the experience of six years of working with Welsh Government officials and colleagues from the public service and the third sector, to support, challenge and facilitate public bodies to think and act for the long term. A key feature of this is equipping people at all levels to engage constructively with uncertainty and develop ways of working suited to the complexity of the current challenges and opportunities. Our work is also informed by the insight gained from extensive experience of audit and inspection. This has prompted new thinking and an exploration of new approaches to transparency and accountability in our public services, that can be summed up by 'working with, instead of doing to'.

The Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies (IASS) conducts research with the goal of identifying, advancing, and guiding transformation processes towards sustainable societies. Its research practice is transdisciplinary, transformative, and co-creative. Bwriad y Ddeddf yw i osod dyletswydd ar y rhan fwyaf o gyrff gwasanaethau cyhoeddus i wneud datblygu cynaliadwy eu hegwyddor trefniadol canolig. Responsible for developing and rolling out the cross-office response of the Wales Audit Office to the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015. This would place a duty on most public service bodies in Wales to make sustainable development the central organising principle. Representing the Auditor General for Wales as an observer on the Welsh Government's Technical Advisory Group. Engaging with stakeholders internally and externally to seize the opportunities and manage the risks associated with rethinking audit in response to the Act. Also looking at how Integrated Reporting (<​IR>) could play a key role in supporting the response of the public sector to the Act.
