As a regional sales and marketing manager at The New York Times, I rolled out the National Print Edition, College Readership Program and Digital Site License throughout the Midwest and Northeast. This led to my current position as the National Sales Director at Watermaster North America (WMNA), where I now have the distinct privilege of introducing the amazing Watermaster technology to the U.S. & Canadian markets. WMNA is the licensed manufacturer and sales agent for Aquamec, Finland, which has sold the Watermaster globally for over 35 years and in 80 countries, but never before in the U.S. due to the Jones Act. WMNA, however, is now building new Jones Act compliant AMD 5000s here in Michigan. The AMD 5000 is the perfect machine for all waterways management and remediation projects, including: - Hydraulic and Mechanical Dredging - Marine Construction and Sea Walls- Raking and Removal of Invasive Aquatics - Maintaining Marine ecosystems - Underwater Demolition and MoreDue to current climate conditions, hurricanes and flooding almost every U.S. waterway is under a significant threat and the maintenance and restoration of these waterways has become a national imperative. I've always been passionate about the environment and I see my role at Watermaster as a way to affect positive change in our world. By exposing the dredging community to the Watermaster technology, I believe more waterways remediation and restoration projects can be performed more efficiently! The machine's mobility, ease of deployment and diverse functionality allow it to perform work that would otherwise take multiple machines to complete. Since leaving The Times, I have also been an adjunct English instructor at Oakland Community College, in metro Detroit, which I like to think of as another way of "giving back" to society. We only have one world, one planet. Let's work together for the better good of future generations.
