I’m the Service Delivery Manager of our Meter To Bill team within the IT Service Delivery. In this role, I serve as a member of the IT Power Delivery Services leadership team with responsibility for the development and implementation of application services for the Meter to Cash value stream. My team (which includes 9 full-time employees and over 100 support contractors) is responsible for the application portfolio which includes, but is not limited to, our Itron AMI Head End System, Siemen’s MDM EnergyIP, and SAP’s IS-U which is our billing and rates engine. As Manager of M2B, my responsibilities include the following: • Managing a team of M2C Solution Architects, Business Analyst, and Consultants. This includes a team of 9 full-time Entergy personnel and 110 contractors (both onshore and offshore)• Managing budgets for projects and support agreements with a focus on cost savings while meeting expected levels of support and capabilities• Providing oversight and guidance for all projects under the Meter To Bill scope. This included 9 projects in 2024 with an overall capital budget of $16 Million• Developing strategic plans, capacity/personnel planning, and roadmaps for new applications to support business objectives• Supporting major events as part of the Incident Management process• Actively managing the supporting vendor(s) to ensure they are meeting services levels• Conducting performance reviews of full-time team members and helping guide them through issues and obstacles, provide mentorship, and promoting a positive culture and work environment that encourages collaboration and growth both for the individual and team as a wholeAbove all, my team is responsible for helping and ensuring that our internal customers have the applications, technology, and capabilities they need to perform their job functions while also ensuring that our external customers have continuous access to key technical functions and platforms to manage their accounts.

Michael rejoined Entergy in June of 2018 as a Sr Solution Architect. Under the IT Applications Utility Customer Service department, his primary goal in this role was to lead the innovative development of business solutions, implemented through IT, to enable the business to meet its objectives. Michael, as an Independent Consultant (JMP Consulting, LLC), has worked with Reliant Energy in Houston Texas from May 2008 - January 2009, and again from May 2009 - mid 2013. Michael is responsible for assisting in the management & implementation of new business & rate requirements and energy consumer products (utilizing Reliant's SAP IS-U/CCS system) that are received from the Marketing group in response to the competitive Texas deregulated energy market. This role includes both product development project management, work coordination, the gathering, analysis, and documentation of business & functional requirements, as well as hands-on configuration in the IS-U environments specifically in the billing, rates, and invoicing areas.Michael also worked with Reliant on process improvement initiatives to streamline current IT processes in order to reduce the number of human errors, reduce the number of man hours needed to perform such functions (such as updating rates & prices), and provide a quicker turn-around time for our internal customers.

Michael's responsibilities included taking on lead roles for the SAP Billing, Invoicing, and Rate functional areas for various utility and public sector projects across the USA. This role includes meeting with the client to define business requirements, creating business blueprints for business processes, designing solutions for complex business scenarios, conducting project team training to the client, configuring the Billing, Invoicing, and Rate areas in the SAP IS-U system to fit the client's needs, business process improvement, and implementing the billing system for the client. Michael was a Sr Billing & Technical Analyst and Team Lead for the Customer Accounting Services Process Improvement Team and Task Automation Development Projects. The purpose of this team was to improve current business/billing processes through Six Sigma projects and Business Services Initiatives, and to build programs to automatically correct billing edits, therefore driving down resource volumes by over 100% (resulting in actual FTE Reductions and Avoided Cost). Michael worked closely with all groups within Business Services including Call Centers, Meter Reading, Operations, and Billing to support on-going business processes and also improve processes which result in less overhead costs for the company, improved customer service and increased customer satisfaction.Michael also redesigned, developed, and maintained Entergy's Business Services group's internal web site for use of managers and employees.
