Michael was responsible for the development of new products intended to complement the Northrop Grumman M5 (NGM5) Network Security suite of network security solutions. His duties included:- Development of the project schedule, incorporating key engineering reviews and milestones. With no extant schedule in place and the project well underway, Michael has developed his schedule from the ground up while managing resources via a high-level master, milestone driven schedule to ensure long-term objectives can be achieved- Management of disparate stakeholders, including NGM5 program management, engineering and overseas suppliers- Facilitate discussion and negotiation of a Statement of Work (SoW) to attain agreement on joint development agreements between project stakeholders, including those located overseas

This has given me a unique opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the project lifestyle - starting with the definition of scope, budget schedule and most important, risks, tracking project status through Earned Value Management and through to finalisation, ensuring that all financial commitments are completed, lessons learnt recorded and the project objective fulfilled.I have also been lucky to work on the program's PMO, being the centre of the project delivery discipline, ensuring that process and governance not only defined for project delivery, but embraced and adopted by the project managers delivering results.
