My professional career has been devoted to assisting brand owners in the creation, management, and protection of their most valuable asset(s) - their intellectual property. I focus on trademark prosecution including trademark clearance and searching, management of national and global trademark portfolios, Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) proceedings, and transactional work such as drafting license and contractual agreements. In addition, I provide significant legal support to our litigation team including legal research and assisting with depositions, discovery, drafting motions and trial preparation. I am also the Director of Marketing for the firm including website management and updates, identifying and analyzing new market trends, writing blog articles, and representing the firm at various legal and industry-specific events.

WKB handles all manner of international and domestic business legal matters, including real estate transactions and development, corporate formation and governance, taxation, mergers and acquisitions, and contractual matters, our IP team handles the firm's patent, trademark, copyright, licensing, domain name and internet related matters.My focus includes prosecution and protection of domestic and international trademark portfolios, domain name management and disputes, copyright protection, and Internet law-related issues as well as social media matters.Have represented and counseled clients with (1) the clearance, registration, maintenance and enforcement of trademarks worldwide; (2) domain name disputes; (3) trademark oppositions, cancellations, and ex parte appeals at the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board level, as well as with trademark, copyright, unfair competition, counterfeiting and related dispute matters; and (4) preparation of Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and Social Media Policy agreements, as well as Non-Disclosure Agreements to protect intellectual property assets; (5) drafting and reviewing contractual agreements for local and international clients.

Trademark clearance and prosecution including searching, drafting legal opinions on the availability and registrability of potential trademarks, filing applications, responding to Office Actions, opposition and cancellation proceedings, and portfolio maintenance. Additionally, domain name protection including UDRP disputes, drafting cease and desist letters and negotiating domain transfers. Additional responsibilities include trademark licensing matters, copyright matters, and litigation.

I enable my clients to effectively enforce and defend their rights under copyright, trademark, trade dress, design patent,and unfair competition laws.* Protection of IP Rights on the Internet : Counsel on worldwide domain name registration and disputes, monitors the web for infringements, negotiates linking and key word agreements, drafts privacy policies, and develops strategies for policing and protecting IP rights on the Internet and litigates Uniform Dispute Resolution proceedings (UDRPs) against cyber-squatters.
