Specifically, I worked to expose the data access layer (Oracle 12c), in order for the SOAP services (Tibco) to access insurance information and pass to the front end (Pega).Working in the usual Agile/Scrum and eJira/Jenkins framework, the job consisted of:* Turning the BA requirements into SQL / PL/SQL modules.* Ensuring the overnight file load process was developed successfully and then ran smoothly (typically loading 300k recs per night).* Optimising many areas of the system which required urgent performance tuning.* Considerable complex BI report writing.* Interviewing / mentoring more junior database developers.* Working constantly with offshore teams in India2 - Extraction of data from legacy SQL Server systemI also created regular extracts from the legacy SQL Server system (to flat files) and loaded these into the new Oracle version of the database (using SQLLoader).
