Managed multiple sections insuring productivity, efficiency, and quality are of the highest standard. Lean and five-s are some tools I use to ensure targets are met. Air Brakes, Power assemblies and Wagon Servicing were areas that were improved and sustained.Key Achievements:1. Motivated and led sections to achieve the highest level of performance within 6 months of the role commencement, improving customer relations and meeting all KPI’s with 20% increase in performance.2. Supported Front line section leaders in their performance management of individuals by actively contributing to the ‘Skill v Will’ issues and address outcomes, resulting in improved performance and job satisfaction.3. Played a key role in the setup and running of 5 new sections with continuous improvement using Lean and Five-s concepts achieved on time and to customer satisfaction. Projects were completed between 3- 8 months.4. Raised and maintained customer satisfaction score from 10% to 100% over 6 months by focussing on quality, process improvements, raising NCR’s, using a hands on approach. 5. Played a fundamental role to ensure smooth project completion then developed procedures to actively contribute and improve quality test documents which improved efficiency.6 .Managed customers wagon fleets to optimize safety and realiability.

As section Leader I was in charge of a Locomotive build team,for which I ran and organized work for stations 1,2 and 6.Alignment of Engine to Alternator,marking out centre lines,instalation of engine,main equipment and cabs. Balancing,weighing and testing were all things I controlled.Morning tool box talks across two sections. I have also implemented high safety and quality standards ensuring customer and company procedures are met with high moral. Achievements:1. coordinated parts and sourced tools whilst improving production efficiencies and saftey.2. Organised and ran daily board walks with senior management ensuring production and customer standards are maintained.

Everything from machine breakdowns,setups,reparing,machining,fabricating,designing,installations,electrical testing and running a section of 4 tradesmen.

Completed my apprenticeship doing all aspects of fitting and machining on overhead and offshore oil rig cranes. A very good experience.
