•Created and maintained weekly/monthly metrics for the manufacturing plant. These metrics were used by management to control plant operations.•Generated SAP reports/data gathering used in creating the metrics.•Responsible for creating, managing, maintaining and upkeep of ISO related documentation while ensuring their accuracy, quality and integrity.•Designed, developed and documented Microsoft Access databases created for use in data management and guiding various engineering/plant operation processes.•These processes included rework, selected lots, production holds, open issues and stock transport orders resulting in time savings, more efficient chargeback, communication, visibility, history and timely closing.•Trained users in the operation of these databases, users included plant management, manufacturing and quality engineers, production control, production managers and technicians.•Conducted mass uploads into SAP out of Excel eliminating data entry errors and saving entry time using QTP (Quick Test Professional) software. •Developed Visual Basic code to automatically extract assembly, tooling, test equipment and other necessary information from hundreds of manufacturing engineering route sheets as part of a contingency plan for the manufacturing plants. •Developed Visual Basic code to organize test data from thousands of individual workbooks into one main workbook to help the mechanical engineering team analyze the data more efficiently.•Created, maintained and updated SharePoint pages for the Shure intranet.•Worked with the other Shure plants in Juarez, Mexico and Suzhou, China on metrics and processes to standardize among the plants.•Provided computer support for all levels of personnel in the plant.•Maintained a training database which documented training needed and completed in the plant.•Sent out daily ECR (engineering change request) report.
